TikTok extends the maximum length of a video to 10 minutes

The TikTok social media platform, which has more than a billion active users worldwide and is well known for its portrait videos, previously had the ability to upload videos up to a maximum of 3 minutes.

However, yesterday (March 2) TikTok challenged YouTube to allow users to upload long-form videos to TikTok.

Commenting on this, TikTok told The Verge that they are always working on new strategies to add value to their users and enhance the experience available through TikTok.

Social media consultant and analyst Matt Navarra wrote on his Twitter account that some users had been given the news as a notification in the app.
Commenting on this, Matt Navarra told The Verge that in general, long-form content is easy to make money and can keep users on their platform for a long time. However, TikTok wants to find out how to position and present these videos on its platform.
